Pre-existing conditions are basically those that you've been treated for in the past or even a condition you've never been treated for, but have. Be sure to check the application, brochure, applicable law or policy for the exact definition of the plan that you have or are applying for. See below for more details. In many cases, Pre-Existing Conditions are waived, if you had prior credible coverage.

If you have a Pre-Existing Condition there are several different questions to ask:

	If the Insurance Company writes your coverage, will you be covered for it? Will the condition be excluded forever, or just for say 6 months or a year What if something else makes the Pre-X worse?
